ENCOURAGEMENT for DEPRESSION
Are you feeling somewhat sad? Lonely? Just have no energy and just thinking about moving makes you tired?
Believe it or not? You’re not alone. And the first step is telling yourself to ‘Get Up’… Yes! Getting up is so important. The more you get up out of bed, off the couch and out of the chair; the more you will feel like moving. It’s not easy! I know! I’ve been there. And I still have those days! But the good news is, you’re not alone and you don’t have to stay there.
Just get up and step outside for one minute. Open the window! Walk from one room to another! Do one thing to move your mind, body and soul to a healthier place.
The more you move the more you will be proactive in a healthier mindset.
If you are needing some encouragement or accountability to hold you to your goals, ask a friend or family member to boost your movement with reminders. Set your phone alarm as a reminder. Play some music to move to while waking or just dance. Dancing is my favorite way to get myself out of that stuck place.
If you feel you are needing someone to talk to, I’m here. If you are feeling some deep depression, it’s okay to reach out and ask for help. Find a local therapist or counselor. Talk to a friend, neighbor or family member. Don’t stay stuck.
You can do this! I’m cheering you on! Get up and do it today and then everyday. Give it over to God. Life is so worth living!
