Mirror Reflections

Have you ever looked in the mirror and really didn’t like what you saw? I have. And to be honest, on some days, I still do. I could say that might be a normal behavior, to a certain degree…but is it healthy? Probably not. Self-judgement can be cruel. When we look at our reflection negatively, we often convince ourselves this is how others see us. This can become an unrealistic way of thinking.
So, how can we learn to accept our reflection, flaws and all? I think we must first realize we are not meant to be perfect. Even those who are blessed with beautiful features are still imperfect. We must learn to see the way God sees. He sees under the surface. He sees our heart. Don’t get me wrong. God cares about our image because we are created in His image. He created us in His own image so that we could glorify Him and ultimately live eternally with Him in Heaven. So, while here on this earth…I believe we should take a good look in the mirror and see our worth. We are more precious than rubies. (Proverbs 3:15)
If you are having difficulty looking at or recognizing your own mirror reflection, please know I’m here. I want to help you see a new perspective.
LET’S GO THE JOURNEY TOGETHER. 😊
